Project description: The project was a new home for a family with three teenage boys. Located in the Gold Coast Hinterland, the site was steeply sloping with a sweeping view of the coast and ocean. Extensive civil works were undertaken to develop a flat pad for the new house. The house was stepped over a number of levels to take advantage of the site and included a large billiard room at lower ground, moving up through the formal lounge to the kitchen and master bedrooms with children’s bedrooms on the upper level. Features included large, operable open timber doors and a horizon edge pool overlooking the view.
