Responsibilities: Liz Watt’s role as Project Architect and Design Manager required extensive auditing of existing conditions and coordination of design consultants through the Master Planning of a $70m redevelopment of the existing business school. Liz was responsible for extensive consultation with stakeholders from end users through to Boards and strategic advisors, input into the final Business Case, and ongoing reporting and presentation to the Project Control Group and Board.
Project description: The project scope included refurbishment of a heritage listed building, demolition and refurbishments of existing meeting rooms, training and ancillary facilities, and construction of 100 new residential apartments over 3 levels.
The Master Plan vision is focussed on restoring the historic Moondah building to promote executive accommodation and to become the iconic symbol of the facility; creating 100 new executive rooms at the equivalent of a 4 Star accommodation standard and to provide ocean views and an integrated landscape design for the redeveloped site. The design is to be implemented in phases.
