Project Description: A Master Plan for Ashwood College was completed late December 2010. The need for the Master Plan was instigated after a fire at the College in July 2010 which destroyed the Manual Arts and part of the Technology wing. In addition, existing buildings were constructed in the 1980’s and no longer meet the needs of the College.

Studies undertaken highlighted an obvious need to replace all existing buildings with the exception of the PAC/ Hall and the BER Science currently under construction. The Master Plan was prepared for a long term enrolment of 1100 students with a first stage of construction for 550 students.

The Master Plan included 2 major development stages.  Stage 1 consisted of development of 3 major buildings including administration, learning centres for years 7,8 and 9, a gymnasium and performing arts facility. Stage 2 delivered years 10,11 and 12 learning centres and design technology, and was to be delivered at a  later date. This project included the detailed design of stage 1.
